2009-10 International Public Policy Forum--Register Now!

Are you ready to take on the world? In August we sent you information about the 2009-2010 Bickel & Brewer/NYU International Public Policy Forum (IPPF) - the only contest that gives high school students from across the globe the opportunity to participate in written and oral debates on issues of public policy. Today, we are contacting you because we want to show you what this competition is all about! Below is a link to the IPPF YouTube Channel, where you can learn more about this exciting competition!http://www.youtube.com/ippforum For those that haven't registered, the competition begins soon! Schools are asked to submit a Qualifying Essay by October 28th. The essay can be in the affirmative or negative on the topic, "Resolved: The United Nations should substantially increase humanitarian assistance for persons living in poverty." The top 32 teams will then be chosen. These schools advance to compete in a single-elimination written debate contest. The process continues for several rounds, until the final eight teams emerge. These eight schools win all-expense-paid trips to New York City to compete in the IPPF Finals! At the finals, the schools supplement their written scholarship with oral advocacy - in a unique and dynamic competition. The winner takes home a $10,000 grand prize and the "Bickel & Brewer Cup!"For more information and to register for the competition, visit our website: www.bickelbrewer.com/debate<http://www.bickelbrewer.com/debate>.Click here to join our page on Facebook.
